Job Description
- Provide technical support to customers for our material handling systems
- Troubleshoot and diagnose issues with PLCs and other control systems
- Develop and maintain documentation for control systems including wiring diagrams schematics and programming documentation
- Collaborate with crossfunctional teams to identify and resolve issues
- Provide training to customers on the operation and maintenance of control systems
- Assist with the commissioning of new material handling systems
- Participate in oncall rotation for afterhours support
- Recording activities in a ticket management system for customer and internal visibility
- Answering hotline calls to provide toptier customer service to our end users
- Occasional reactive support travel will be required (generally 12 day trips)
- Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Controls Systems Engineering or related field
- 3Phase power and electrical circuits
- 3 years of experience in PLC programming and troubleshooting
- Experience with AllenBradley Siemens or similar PLC platforms
- Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel up to 20 of the time for customer support and commissioning activities
- Experience with material handling systems or other industrial automation equipment
- Knowledge of HMI programming and troubleshooting
- Familiarity with Ethernet/IP and other industrial communication protocols
