The Role:
The Production Manager will be responsible for managing the daytoday operations of the manufacturing facilities ensuring all production duties and associated activities are completed in accordance with the build plan. Its important that the production manager is there to exceed customer expectations for product quality cost and delivery maximising efficiency optimising production levels and driving operational excellence.
Duties include:
- Proactively manage the production team to adhere to strict food hygiene rules and ensure the daily production is delivered.
- Hold regular performance reviews and set objectives for all production staff.
- Engage with the production team to ensure the current policies and procedures of the business are fully understood and implemented.
- Develop a good work ethic among the production staff encouraging mutual trust respect and cooperation.
- Comply with all health and safety requirements following company policies and procedures.
- Be constantly aware of any possible hazards and report these to your supervisor immediately.
- Experience in directing and supervising production personnel.
- Possess technical knowledge and adapt at all phases of the manufacturing processes.
- Ability to lead and drive continuous improvement.
- Strong Customer Service mindset
- Ability to understand cost containment and budgetary principles.
- Analysing logistical problems and producing new solutions
The Person:
- Previous Production management experience within the fmcg industry
- Demonstrate strong leadership and coaching skills be passionate about people and their development.
- Demonstrate excellent organisation problem solving and planning skills have implemented good systems and processes influencing behavioural change.
- Demonstrable experience of delivering improvements in reduction of waste labour cost machine efficiencies etc
- Proactive cooperation the ability to work collaboratively with Technical Sales and maintenance demonstrating commitment to achieve group objectives.
