What you will do:
Serve as an ODOT Project Manager on consultant designed projects of varying size & complexity
Work alongside & learn from a knowledgeable team of experts to deliver these projects
Provide technical reviews for projects designed by consultants as well as projects designed by ODOT staff
Collaborate with ODOT staff in preparing the scope of work for future ODOT projects
Attend field reviews of projects both in design & construction to assist in the project development process
Meet with project stakeholders to communicate project details & gain their feedback
Who we are looking for:
Good communication skills that will assist in delivering some of the largest projects in the state
Ideal candidate has experience in any of the following disciplines:
Traffic Signals Maintenance of Traffic Lighting & Traffic Control devices
Drainage Design
Roadway Design
Selfmotivated responsible detailoriented problem solver willing to work as a team to reach common goals
Licensed P.E. in the State of Ohio &versed in ODOTs Manuals Standards Policies & Procedures
Experience in designing &/or managing ODOT/DOT projects
Licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as group or project leader providing work direction & training to engineering technicians &/or lowerlevel engineers or 12 mos. exp. in conducting engineering related research (i.e. conducting engineering related research only applies to staff specialist positions); if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites must possess valid drivers license.
Or licensed as registered professional engineer by Ohio State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors; 12 mos. exp. as Transportation Engineer 2 85642; if assigned to operate a state vehicle to travel to & inspect project sites must possess valid drivers license.
Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above may be substituted for the experience required but not for the mandated registration.
