Job Description

The Development Lead Data Specialist is responsible for leading data projects and systems that ensure data accuracy within the Development Departments databases. This position supports the organization in producing pertinent reports from the database and provides knowledgeable interpretation of data including collaborating with others when changes or updates are needed. This position is also responsible for training new and existing team members in using the donor database and developing database policy and procedures documentation. This role will have a special focus on the development and maintenance of Development event and donor data.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelors Degree (or equivalent combination of skills and experience) and 35 years of direct experience in nonprofit development support and/or data entry required.
  • Extensive computer skills including prior data entry in donor databases
  • Microsoft Office Internet search and navigation experience
  • Commitment to accuracy and organization
  • Strong attention to detail required
  • Demonstrates ability to be a supportive and encouraging team player
  • Working knowledge of various types of gifts and donor data
  • Ability to resolve questions around gifts donor intent and accounting issues
  • Strong written communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
