Summary:
We are seeking a Revenue Accountant to join our team. This position under the direction of the Manager Revenue accountant is responsible for oversight of all specified billing and collections activity for the Company. The position may have certain responsibilities contributing to payment posting and application to customer accounts the month end close account reconciliations and preparing ad hoc reports assisting with the Companys annual audit. The position will be assigned special projects and be expected to backup other positions within the department from timetotime. Duties may also include assisting with training and providing assistance to other staff members within the team.
This is a hybrid position working two 2 days per week onsite in our corporate office located in Brentwood TN
Accounts that may be part of the overall job responsibility in some limited capacity would be as follows:

Unbilled Revenue

Duties and Responsibilities:
Billing and Collections: Organize and perform billing for specified portions for the Companys business. Customer statements and other followup on the specified customer base to accelerate collections. Very organized billing process that occurs throughout the month. Responsible for approximately 150 customer invoices monthly.
Revenue Recognition: Recognize revenue on billings following the Companys policies and procedures.
General Ledger Maintenance: Help to maintain the general ledger ensure proper documentation and organization of financial records as it relates to the revenue portion of the general ledger. Support the Companys manager and senior accountant in the monthend close process as needed.
Monthend and Yearend Close: Assist in monthend and yearend closing processes including reconciliations journal entries and setting up and monitoring recurring JEs.
Financial Controls: Have basic knowledge and prepare work in accordance with the Companys established financial controls.
Audit Preparation: Prepare documents and schedules for external audits.
Process Improvement: Continuously identify opportunities for process improvement efficiency and automation in the department.
Supporter: Backup other positions within the accounting department. As well as provide guidance and mentorship to junior accounting staff.
Work Experience Education and Certifications:
Bachelors degree in accounting and 3 years of experience.
Proven experience as a Staff Accountant or in a similar role.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of GAAP and specifically ASC 606 is a plus but not required.
Skillful in accounting software and ERP systems (Workday experience is a plus)
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word Outlook Access and Excel).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
