Position Summary
We are searching for an entry level Medical Claim Associate to review investigate and analyze medical claims information process medical claims answer member calls meeting quality and daily production requirements make outbound calls to members & providers analyze and respond to requests for information and set challenging goals.
Work Schedules
12week training class: MF 7:30 a.m. 4:30 p.m.
Hybrid Schedule: Monday Thursday in the office; Fridays athome.
PostTraining: MF 8:15 5:00 p.m. & after 6months employment must be available to work a rotating schedule 9:15 a.m. 6:00 p.m. approximately 12 times per year.
Hybrid schedule: 2 days in the office 3 days at home.
Required Qualifications and Skills
High School diploma or GED
Up to 12 months experience in medical claims processing working with medical insurance plans or in a healthcare billing office.
Telephone customer service experience.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
Able to work in an environment with quality and production requirements.
Able to perform and work on multiple tasks.
Able to use technology and navigate within computer systems and applications.
Able to work overtime on Saturday mornings when needed 6:00 a.m. 1:00 p.m.
Preferred Qualifications
Associates degree
Medical terminology certificate or medical terminology coursework as part of a college degree program.
Essential Physical Requirements
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
This job is sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time; therefore the job is rated for light work.
