Village on the Park Friendswood is seeking a Parttime Cookto continue our story of compassionately caring for our residents. As a fulltime Cook you will be assisting the Food Services Director to help with the operation of the Food Services department.

Shifts:
- 6:00 a.m. 6:30 p.m.
- Double Weekends
- Includes weekend and holiday shifts.
Responsibilities:
- Prepares or assist in preparation of complete meals preparing and cooking soups meats gravies vegetables desserts salads baked goods etc.
- Complies with all special dietary needs or restrictions of residents.
- Ensure great presentation by dressing dishes before they are served.
- Monitor all food items for compliance with guidelines for temperature taste and quality tastes food to determine quality.
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen; ensuring all equipment is cleaned working properly and turned off before closing.
- Assist in inventory.
Requirements:
- Minimum 6 months experience as a prep cook (preferred)
- Ability to communicate effectively with residents and colleagues.
- High School diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to speak read & write English.
- Must be willing to undergo a routine background check.
