Job Title: Supportive Services Coordinator
Department: Youth Outreach Adolescent Community Awareness Program (YOACAP)
Reports To: Program Director
Position Summary:
The Supportive Services Coordinator will enhance student accessibility to OutofSchool Time (OST) programs by supporting student accommodation plans and connecting families to health services parenting classes benefits transportation and more resources. This role ensures participants have the necessary support for full engagement in OST programs including summer programs.
Essential Functions:
- Create accessible programs and inclusive environments with Site Directors.
- Support staff training in SEL behavior management and differentiated learning.
- Assess student needs during registration or referrals.
- Develop and monitor student accommodation plans with youth families and staff.
- Coordinate resources such as training assistive equipment and technical support.
- Maintain documentation of plans and monitor student progress.
- Assist families with access to external services and community resources.
- Advocate for students and families with language or cultural needs.
- Support family engagement and maintain a resource directory.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in social work or related field.
- Experience providing services to children and families preferably in educational or community settings.
- Familiarity with traumainformed practices and SEL activities.
- Strong interpersonal communication and problemsolving skills.
- Preferred: Second language proficiency ASL skills and CPR/First Aid/AED certification.
Clearances:
Child Abuse PA Criminal Background and FBI Fingerprinting clearances are required.
Additional Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with YOACAP staff on student progress.
- Organize learning activities to develop students academic and social skills.
- Implement discipline techniques and attend required training/events.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
