Requirements
KeyResponsibilities:
- Leadthe electrical design process for commercial building projects includinglighting power distribution fire alarms and communication systems.
- Collaboratewith architects mechanical engineers and construction teams to ensureseamless integration of electrical systems.
- Reviewand approve singleline diagrams (SLDs) panel schedules and loadcalculations.
- Developand oversee construction documentation including detailed electrical layoutsspecifications and material selection.
- Ensurecompliance with the Alberta Building Code CSA standards and other relevantregulatory requirements.
- Manageproject timelines budgets and resource allocation while maintaininghighquality standards.
- Conductsite visits to assess project progress and troubleshoot issues duringconstruction and commissioning phases.Mentorand support junior engineers and EITs providing technical guidance andprofessional development opportunities.
- Driveinnovation by integrating energyefficient designs and renewable energy systemsinto projects.
- Maintainstrong relationships with clients addressing project needs and ensuringcustomer satisfaction.
Qualificationsand Experience:
- Bachelorsdegree in Electrical Engineering; P.Eng. designation with APEGA or eligibilityfor registration.
- 6 years of experience in electrical engineering with a focus on commercialbuilding projects.
- Proficiencyin AutoCAD Revit and electrical modeling software.
- Deepknowledge of Alberta Building Codes CSA standards and energy codes.
- Demonstratedexpertise in designing lighting systems power distribution networks andbuilding automation.
- Experiencewith green building certifications (LEED WELL etc. is an asset.
- Strongproject management skills with the ability to lead multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellentcommunication and technical writing skills.
