Job Description
Provides a variety of support to the Exhibits Program including safeguarding building entrances/exits answering questions from the public assisting with processing competitive entries and installing/dismantling exhibit structures and props. This is a seasonal/temporary position not to exceed 122 days.
- During events safeguards exhibits and watches building entrances and exits.
- Provides information about the exhibit to the public and answers questions about the exhibit the event and the property.
- May set up or arrange competitive entries for the exhibition.
- May clean a variety of exhibit structures and props prepares them for use installs them where instructed and dismantles at the end of an event.
- May be involved in receiving and preparing competitive entries for judging and assists in the judging process as needed.
- May provide basic clerical assistance as needed.
- Dismantles competitive exhibits and returns entries to the public at the end of the event.

- Must be at least 16 years old.
- Previous experience working with the public required.
- Must possess excellent customer service skills.
- Strong teamwork skills a must.
- Must be available to work all 23 days of the annual OC Fair (mid July mid August).
- Ability to work outside the normal business day/week as required by events and programs.
- Previous knowledge and/or experience working with Garden & Floral competitions.
- Previous knowledge and/or experience with Gardening/Horticulture preferred.
- Some clerical experience preferred including the ability to type file and answer phones.
Will work in a fastpaced environment in both indoor and outdoor areas during all types of weather. The noise level in the work environment is moderately loud particularly when working outdoors or in an exhibit building.
