The Mission
Deliver and maintain ING Hubs ROs Internal Applications Platform (aka IAP) and its submodules (QBR Portal).
The IAP is a platform developed internally for ING engineers who wants to address business problems with the purpose of expanding ING engineering culture and facilitate innovation.
Your daytoday
- Writing code in a Javascript environment;
- Support for functional analysts;
- Workload estimations during the planning sessions;
- Advice appraisal and code review;
- Pooling and sharing of knowledge on new applications and technologies used;
- Investigate and give resolutions for defects (in test acceptance or production environments);
- Contribute together with the rest of the team to continuous improvements of the development process;
- Programming new applications and making changes in the existing ones;
- Translating functional analysis into technical analysis and developments together with the parties involved;
- Create release documents to support the deployments and the software after release;
- Design and develop highvolume lowlatency applications for missioncritical systems delivering highavailability and performance;
- Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle;
- Write well designed testable efficient code;
- Ensure designs are compliant to the specifications;
- Prepare and produce releases of software components;
- Support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting them for architectural review;
- Write unit tests.
What you bring to the team
- University/Master degree in Information Technology;
- At least 2 years of experience with web development in JavaScript HTML5 CSS3;
- Working experience with web testing runners (e.g.: Mocha Karma Chai);
- Understanding of how RESTful APIs work;
- You are familiar with build tools like Webpack and Rollup;
- You are familiar with continuous deployment and continuous integration;
- Experience of working in a crossfunctional Agile team;
- Experience working with a framework(Angular React etc) is a plus;
- Working experience with WebComponents (e.g.: Lit) is a plus.
