Our clientranked by the Washington Business Journal as one of the areas top private companiesis seeking a fulltime Assistant Corporate Controller at its headquarters in Montgomery County.
Responsibilities include:
- Reviewingquarterly real estate investment consolidations for the Companys commercial and hotel real estate holdings
- Preparing internal financial statements and annual and midyear budgets;
- Reviewing daily bank activity weekly accounts payable transactions and monthly bank/investment reconciliations.
- Manage a team of two accounting staff and supervise the day to day accounting functions of the Corporate administrative division
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance with at least 7 years relevant experience
- CPA or CPA candidate
- Superior problemsolving and analytical skills with great attention to detail
- Prior experience managing a small accounting department or team
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications particularly Excel and Accounting software (Oracle/JD Edwards preferred but not required)
