Position Overview:
We are currently seeking a talented and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. As a Cook at Citrus Heights Post Acute you will play a vital role in ensuring that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals that contribute to their overall wellbeing. You will have the opportunity to showcase your culinary skills while working in a dynamic and supportive environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of appetizing and nutritious meals in accordance with dietary guidelines and resident preferences
- Ensure that all food preparation and cooking activities adhere to safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with dietary staff to plan menus and accommodate special dietary needs or restrictions
- Maintain inventory of food supplies and place orders as needed
- Clean and maintain kitchen equipment utensils and work areas
- Assist with meal service and provide excellent customer service to residents and staff
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working as a cook in a healthcare or senior living setting preferred
- Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices
- Ability to follow recipes and dietary guidelines
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed
