Job Description
Under the general supervision of the Director of Surgery or Manager the Perioperative Operations Coordinator is responsible for the maintenance of the supply inventory of the surgery department.This individual assists the Materials Coordinator in assuring the availability of supplies/equipment the recovery of lost charges and the provision of costs of implants. In addition the Perioperative Operations Coordinator facilitates recall issues collection of reprocessed items and other tasks related to the procurement of equipment and supplies for the operating rooms.
Qualifications:
A. Education
1. High school diploma or GED from an accredited institute is required
2. College degree preferred
B. Experience
1. Basic computer Windowsbased skill
2. Experience in a purchasing department with progressive responsibility
3. Experience with medical/surgical supplies and equipment preferred
C. Licensure/Certification:
1. BLS Provider
