Job Description
KE&G Construction Inc. is adding a Staff Accountant position to join our team in our Tucson office. This person area of work will involve multiple disciplines in the accounting and general business functions of the company.
The ideal candidate has a strong background in accounting through general ledger excellent attention to detail and deep knowledge of regional laws/regulations.
Responsibilities:
- Directly manage or comanage/ cross train in the areas of A/P A/R Payroll and assist in month end general ledger close.
- Job functions include but is not limited to maintaining financial reports records knowledge of typical business taxation excluding corporate tax.
- Ensure overall financial compliance Understand month end reconciliation to sub ledgers and general ledger.
- Provide accuracy of completion of work and takes on a champion leadership role in areas assigned.
Requirements:
- Recent five plus years in similar role in the construction or manufacturing industries.
- Must have thorough knowledge of general ledger and financial statements.
- Deep knowledge of accounting principles
- Excellent written and verbal communications
- Ability to handle information confidentially
- Familiarity with accounting ERP softwares. Vista by ViewPoint/Trimble preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite especially MS Excel VLOOKUP
- Proven experience meeting regular deadlines
- Highly experienced confident and valueadded contribution to the accounting department and company
- Position reports to and supports the Accounting Manager.
