Description

The Reaccreditation Intern will assist the Accreditation Project Manager in compiling necessary edits to the Georgia Department of Public Health (DPH) documents from Public Health Accreditation Board (PHAB) Domain members and leaders and senior leadership. The intern will also be responsible for assisting with editing and review of educational materials in preparation for the PHAB site visit.


The Reaccreditation Intern will have many tasks to perform each week including tracking any outstanding documentation and ensuring timely finalization. The intern will also work with OQPA to perform a final review prior to uploading all documentation to the ePHAB portal. During the interns time with OQPA the intern will gain knowledge of reaccreditation processes and the work of various programs and departments at DPH. The intern will be introduced to OQPAs extensive network within the organization and relevant external partners throughout the documentation and sitevisit process of reaccreditation.

Job Responsibilities

  • Meticulously review prepared documentation prior to submission to program/department supervisors and DPH leadership.
  • Incorporate minor grammatical formatting or content edits as suggested by supervisors and/or DPH leadership.
  • Track and log documentation submissions to program/department and DPH leadership.
  • Finalize documentation in keeping with PHAB required formatting and DPH naming conventions.
  • Regularly update OQPA Intranet with current information regarding reaccreditation.
  • Organize and manage accreditation and reaccreditation documentation in OQPA Intranet document archive.

DPH accepts educational credential recognized by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation (CHEA) and/or the US Department of Education (DOE) will be considered. DPH will contact educational institutions to verify degree diploma licensure etc.


The candidate selected for this position may be subject to preemployment drug screening and a criminal background check.
