Brown University Health has an exciting opportunity for a boardcertified physiatrist to serve as medical director at our 28bed inpatient rehabilitation facility in Newport Rhode Island. Our growing academically oriented systemsbased PM&R departmentis a fourtime Guardian of Excellence Award Winner.
About the job:
Serve as the medical supervisor of inpatient rehabilitation services
Time is split roughly 25 administrative 75 clinical
Provide direct patient care
Partner with the Chief of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Senior Vice President of Brown University Health and inpatient PM&R consult physicians to set goals and priorities for program development
Work primarily with Stroke amputee TBI Spinal Cord Multiple Trauma Orthopedic patients
The team consists of nine others including MD/DOs physical occupational and speech & language therapists
Average length of stay in the unit is 14 days
Call is 1:7 week

Board certified or eligible in physiatry
