Job Description
About the job:
- Serve as the medical supervisor of inpatient rehabilitation services
- Time is split roughly 25 administrative 75 clinical
- Provide direct patient care
- Partner with the Chief of the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Senior Vice President of Brown University Health and inpatient PM&R consult physicians to set goals and priorities for program development
- Work primarily with Stroke amputee TBI Spinal Cord Multiple Trauma Orthopedic patients
- The team consists of nine others including MD/DOs physical occupational and speech & language therapists
- Average length of stay in the unit is 14 days
- Call is 1:7 week
- Brown Academic appointment in the Department of Neurology

The Department of PM&R includes multiple outpatient clinics with a focus on neurorehabilitation including concussion/TBI spinal cord injury and spasticity management. We also manage general rehabilitation patients with musculoskeletal needs prosthetics and orthotics wheelchair management and oncological rehabilitation
