Job Description
Summary
The goal of the Staff Accountant is to assist in keeping the accounting and other financial policies of the company up to standard ensuring accurate financial reporting and control.
Responsibilities
- Assists in the preparation of financial statements
- Assists in the formulation of internal controls and policies
- Prepares journal entries
- Reconciles accounts
- Participates in monthly and annual closings
- Performs account analysis
- Assists in the preparation of budgets
- Assists in the preparation of forecasts
- Participates in preparation of annual audit workpapers
- Other duties as required
Qualifications
- Entry level to 3 years experience
- Solid knowledge of GAAP
- Strong project management skills
- Possess excellent communication skills
- Understanding of data analysis
- Proficient in MS Office as well an ability to learn proprietary software
- Must be selfsufficient motivated and capable of out of box thinking
- BS/BA in accounting is required
- Professional certification is a plus (CPA or CMA)
- Experience using Winteam ERP system a plus
- Experience working with FP&A applications a plus but not required
