Summary: The Diesel Mechanic will work primarily at our Houston location. Reporting to the Shop Manager this role is responsible for maintaining and repairing our fleet of diesel trucks and heavy equipment. The Diesel Mechanic will ensure all vehicles are properly serviced compliant with company policies and regulations and operating efficiently to support our field operations. This position requires handson mechanical expertise troubleshooting skills commitment to quality safety and teamwork. Key Responsibilities: - Perform Repairs & Maintenance Diagnose repair and maintain diesel trucks heavy equipment and systems to ensure optimal performance.
- Conduct Preventative Maintenance Perform routine inspections fluid checks and scheduled maintenance to minimize downtime and extend equipment lifespan.
- Troubleshoot Mechanical Issues Identify and resolve mechanical electrical and system problems efficiently.
- Ensure Compliance Adhere to company policies safety regulations and environmental standards while maintaining accurate maintenance records.
- Collaborate with Team Work closely with operators shop personnel and fleet and operations management to prioritize repairs and ensure equipment readiness.
- Manage Tools & Equipment Maintain a clean and organized work environment ensuring tools and parts are properly stored and accounted for.
What You Bring to the Team: - Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic Heavy Equipment Technician or Fleet Maintenance Technician.
- Technical Skills that include strong knowledge of diesel engines hydraulics electrical systems and diagnostic tools.
- Own Tools (Preferred) Having your own set of mechanic tools for efficient job performance.
- Physical Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and work in various environments
- Strong Commitment to Safety adherence to safety procedures PPE requirements and compliance regulations.
- Reliability & Teamwork A strong work ethic attention to detail and the ability to work well with others.
- Ability to Pass criminal and MVR backgrounds as well as drug screen
