Cleans and refurbishes new and used automobiles. Conforms to dealership and/or manufacturer specifications and time allowances.

Essential Duties

• Washes vehicle exterior cleans interior and exterior windows and wipes down doorjambs.
• Applies wax to auto body and wipes or buffs surface.
• Vacuums interior of vehicles to remove loose dirt and debris.
• Cleans upholstery rugs and other surfaces using appropriate cleaning agents applicators and cleaning devices.
• Applies revitalizers and preservation agents to interior vinyl or leather surfaces and treats fabrics with spot and stainresistant chemicals.
• Applies specialpurpose cleaners to remove foreign materials which normal cleaning procedures do not remove utilizing experience and judgment and following product manufacturers recommendations.
• Inspects vehicles for noticeable defects such as dents scratches torn upholstery and poor mechanical operation.
• Restores appearance of engine area rugs and upholstery and painted surfaces. Uses touchup paint dyes and other appropriate materials.
• Uses proper eye hand and body protection when using products that require protection.
• Applies dressing on tires and tire wells.
• Replaces missing or defective small parts.
• Maintains showroom and stock vehicles in clean and presentable condition at all times.
• Ensures proper stickers are displayed in the vehicles window tail gate and plates holder.
• Removes all window stickers on sold vehicles.
• Keeps work area neat and clean.
• Operates all tools and equipment in a safe manner.
• Reports any safety issues immediately to management.
• Washes and dry dirty rags.
• Clean snow off cars.
• Clean bays at the end of the day.
• Other tasks as assigned.
  

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE/SKILLS

• No prior experience necessary
• High school education or equivalent
• Must possess valid Massachusetts drivers license
• Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions short correspondence and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in oneonone and small group situations to customers clients and other employees of the organization.

• Ability to add and subtract twodigit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10s and 100s. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement volume and distance.

• Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple one or twostep instructions. Ability to deal with standardized situations with only occasional or no variables

Physical Demands/Efforts

• Must occasionally lift and/or move up to 30 pounds without assistance.
• While performing the duties of this job the employee is frequently required to stand use hands to finger handle or feel reach with hands and arms and talk or hear.
• The employee is frequently required to walk climb or balance stoop kneel crouch or crawl and smell.

Mental & Visual Demands

• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision peripheral vision depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
• Work performed by this position requires moderate mental concentration to effectively execute routine tasks.

Work Environment

• Work is primarily performed on the road. However while performing the duties of this job within repair shop environment the employee may be exposed to moderate noise.

• Various PPE devices & equipment such as gloves safety shoes hearing protection and glasses may be required.
