Job Description
The Personal Trainer position reports to the Personal Training Manager and is primarily focused on training student clients registered for Barnes Center at The Arch Personal Training program. Position will provide individualized instruction goal setting and exercise prescription for clients and maintain appropriate records relating to clients and tracking completed sessions.

Responsibilities
Train assigned clients in accordance with program polices and national standards for safety and risk management. Work individually with clients to implement exercise prescription. Conduct fitness assessments and establish safe reasonable client goals. Research and create workout plans for clients. Advise clients about important safety concerns and demonstrate proper techniques for exercises as needed. Complete all required program documentation accurately and on time. Utilize computerized registration system to log completion of client sessions. Report equipment or facility issues if encountered. Provide outstanding customer service and respond to client scheduling requests in timely manner. Average 28 hours/week of client training time and up to 6 hours/ week for record keeping/research as needed. Assist with staff training and evaluation of parttime temporary personal trainers as directed. Assist with operation of other Fitness programs including Group Exercise Small Group Training and Fitness Center orientations. Other duties as assigned.
