The Sensor Innovation Portfolio within the Defense Sector is seeking a talented Radar Signal Processing Engineer Intern to join a diverse team to create unique solutions for complex sensor and radar orientated problems. We have offices across the United States engaging in the defense space cyber and commercial fields Leidos provides responsive costeffective engineering scientific and IT solutions. This position within Leidos Sensor Innovation Portfolio affords new or experienced engineers continued opportunities to learn and grow in technical knowledge of sensor and radar systems. The department encourages and frequently incorporates new ideas from all employees into our many sensor projects which span the entire DoD ecosystem. Opportunities for advancement into senior technical roles as well as project or personnel management are also available.
Primary Responsibilities
The role will support Advanced Technology Radar and EW programs including research and development of advanced digital signal processing (DSP) algorithms; highfidelity radar and RF modeling simulation and analysis; integration and field testing of RF sensors and systems; and CONUS/OCONUS deployment of advanced sensor systems. The Engineer in this role is expected to quickly immerse into radar and sensor phenomenology and our existing tools and models to begin contributing to new features.
A variety of tasks related to signal processing measurement tracker processing system performance metrics sensor simulation or utility tools as part of larger efforts or customer goals will be assigned. In this role your organizational skills will be paramount and managing multiple tasks while ensuring the work remains compatible with the groups larger codebases.
Basic Qualifications
BS degree in progress from an ABET accredited college or university in Electrical Engineering or related technical field with status as a rising Junior or pursuing a postgraduate degree.
