LifeSavers Packaging Operator

12hour Night Shift following a 223 Rotating Schedule

The LifeSavers Packaging Operator is responsible for operating automated and/or manual manufacturing equipment used to package LifeSavers following established manufacturing procedures. LifeSavers Packaging Operators are also responsible for on time and accurate hourly quality checks escalation for downtime and maintenance of equipment.

Job Accountabilities:

  • Perform general housekeeping duties in the packaging area
  • Complete frequent observation of workinprocess and the completion of required recording such as Quality Control Point sheets
  • Independently operate packaging equipment and downstream equipment and produce a quality wrapped LifeSavers product in a teambased environment
  • This position requires the ability to both operate and train others on packaging equipment and downstream responsibilities
  • Participates in Mars Supply Excellence progression through the AM model or Focused Improvement Loss Projects

Skills Required:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Basic math skills required to calculate ingredients
  • Ability to understand read write and communicate in basic workrelated English
  • Pallet jack operation
  • Film life assist operation
  • Participate as a team player in accomplishing all company goals and objectives
  • High sense of urgency and accountability
  • High Level of demonstrated problemsolving capability
  • Experience with computers and touchscreen tablets
  • Experience with MS Office Products and Outlook
  • Experience in TPM/Lean Manufacturing a plus
  • Supports and understands the business department and line goals
  • Other responsibilities and duties as assigned

Physical requirements:

  • frequent lifting/carrying/pulling/pushing 150lbs.
  • frequent handling/reaching of various products
  • frequent fine finger movements
  • frequent standing
