The 1054room Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is the newest luxury hotel in the City of Boston and the most significant hotel project in the city for the last forty years. The Omni Boston Hotel at the Seaport is located in the center of the bustling Seaport District. The Food Runner is responsible for providing consistent efficient personalized and prompt food and beverage service in our restaurant while ensuring that Omni Hotel & Resort standards are always met.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests when entering the rooms with a pleasant smile and superior customer service.
- Set up according to type of event and service standards.
- Take orders and answer questions/offer suggestions on menu selections.
- Communicate with culinary team regarding meal requirements allergies dietary needs and special requests.
- Record transaction in MICROS system at time of order.
- Present accurate check to guest and process payment.
- Maintain cleanliness of work areas throughout the day.
- Clean and set up.
- Complete closing duties.
- Perform any other duties required by management.
Qualifications
- 1 years of food/beverage service preferred.
- Knowledge of food and beverage service.
- Good verbal and written skills.
- Knowledge of Micros preferred
- Ability to always maintain a positive and professional demeanor and composure.
- Proven ability to engage guests at all levels. Must be passionate about providing warm engaging and personalized service.
- Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekends and holidays.
- Candidate must be able to work in a fastpaced environment and be able to handle multiple priorities.
- Computer literacy to include Payroll systems Micros POS systems
- Serve Safe certified Unexpired TIPs required.
