Food Service Worker - High School Food Prep
SUMMARY:
Hamilton Community Schools is seeking a part-time Food Service Worker for food prepat thehigh school level.
LOCATION:Hamilton High School
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Prepare/Cook/Serve products for our various serving lines
- Washing/preparing fruit and vegetables for service.
- Operating a cash register including daily cash out.
- Complete clean-up of serving line and lunch tables when serving is complete.
- Maintaining of production records.
- General help in end of day clean-up including dish washing sweeping and
mopping of floors.

To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - 18 years of age and a high school diploma or equivalent
- Ability to relate well with students staff and others in a positive manner
- Ability to communicate clearly in verbal and written form
- Ability to follow written and oral communication and comprehend instructive materials
- Basic math skills
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to handle a fast-paced environment
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to handle more than one task at a time
- Must enjoy working in a team environment
- Ability to pass the food safety certification course every five years
REPORTS TO:Food Service Supervisor
START DATE:2025-2026 School Year
WEEKLY HOURS: 5.5-6.25hours per day Monday-Friday (school year)
SALARY RANGE:$16.39/hr (start)
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
The employee will be on his/her feet throughoutmost of the shift. Regularly required to sit stand walk talk hear operate a computer hand-held learning devices and other office equipment reach with hands and arms and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 40 pounds.
