Registered Nurse Parkway Cardiology Associates
$5000 Signon Bonus for Experienced RNs
Full Time 80 Hours Per Pay Period Day Shift

Position Summary:
Provides professional nursing care within an outpatient clinic setting.
Responsibilities
- Adheres to established departmental policies and procedures objectives quality assurance program and safety standards.
- Cooperates with other personnel to achieve department objectives and maintain good employee relations interdepartmental objectives and infection control policies.
- Prepares patients for scheduled procedures and assists in patient assessment. Accurately records history and performs basic triage procedures per policy.
- Retrieves initial basic condition of patients creates nursing history and reports to appropriate practitioner.
- Demonstrates sensitivity to patients comfort and privacy by using the AIDET fundamentals of communication.
- Assists providers with examinations procedures and other processes related to direct patient care.
- Maintains a safe comfortable and therapeutic environment for patients/families during their visit.
- Monitors and ensures accuracy of recording on patient medical records. Maintains all required reports records statistics etc.
- Ensures an adequate stock of supplies and wellmaintained equipment.
- Inspects area daily for compliance with policies procedures regulations and standards and takes corrective action when violations occur.
- Schedules all outside patient appointments per physician order and relays accurately to patients.
- Take calls from hospitals/nursing homes and relays appropriate information to practitioner in a timely manner.
- Assure test results are received and relayed to the patient in a timely manner.
- Completes medical orientation checklist.
- Initiates appropriate patient education.
- Collaborates with interdisciplinary team members.
- Implements care appropriate to diagnosis and per physician order.
- Problem solves and coordinates clinic patient care with physician supervision.
- Demonstrates competence in performing skills to include appropriate delivery of care according to the agespecific needs of the population served.
- Maintain professional growth and development through seminars workshops and professional affiliations to keep abreast of latest trends in field of expertise.
- Collaborate with the patient physician and other care team members as part of a team based approach to overall patient care.
- Perform other related duties as assigned or requested.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
None specified; however must be sufficient to meet the standards for achievement of the below indicated license and/or certification as required by the issuing authority.
Minimum Experience:
Prefer at least one 1 year of professional nursing experience. Minimum of 1 year of experience strongly preferred. Cardiac and EKG interpretation experience preferred. Proficient in IV insertion and management preferred.
Licensure Requirement:
Must have a valid Tennessee RN license. CPR and OSHA training annually.
