Technical Training Coordinator

BHS Corrugated is seeking aManufacturing and Industrial Technical Trainer to join our growing team in ourCharlotte NC office!

Summary:

This position is responsible for training newhire and experienced technicians in industrial equipment installation service and maintenance. While our core business is in corrugated machinery we welcome diverse manufacturing and industrial experience to strengthen our overall training team. Were looking for trainers who are passionate about teaching technicians in a handson industrial environment. If youve trained teams in manufacturing industrial equipment or similar settings we want to hear from you. This role is an onsite position in Charlotte NC and requires less than 50 travel. Candidates MUST have experience in training adult learners and have the technical knowledge to back it up.

Responsibilities:

• Deliver new hire and continuing education training to BHS technical employees as required.
• Conduct qualification assessments for all levels of BHS technical employees.
• Coordinate/schedule qualification events and training sessions
• Support and Administer BHS Apprenticeship Program
• Analyze skills and capability gaps of technical employees for development purposes
• Partner with mentors and supervisors to create development plans for technical employees
• Mentor coach and advise technical employees as needed.
• Follow understand and execute a blended learning training plan by delivering instructor led on the job virtual and computerbased training to BHS technical employees
• Participate in train the trainer courses certification classes On the job trainings and other educational opportunities to increase technical knowledge.
• Prepare qualifications and training reports as required analyze trends and report findings to training & operations leadership.
• Communicate effectively with members of management team
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Associates degree in learning and development is preferred or 3 to 5 years of equivalent experience in relevant industry.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required to interact with all levels of personnel.
• Must have an outgoing coaching personality with enthusiasm for public speaking and the ability to engage adult learners.
• Experience in any manufacturing or industrial maintenance environment is preferred.
• Corrugated/packaging experience is a plus but not required.
• Extensive travel throughout North America and on occasion to Europe.
• Must have a valid drivers license and a passport.
• Demonstrated computer skills in Microsoft applications such as PowerPoint Excel and Word.
• Should possess the physical ability to stand and walk for extended periods perform bending and twisting motions safely lift and maneuver objects weighing at least 30 pounds navigate and walk over equipment ascend and descend ladders and stairs and work effectively in temperature ranges including hot and cold environments while on customer locations
• Deliver training that covers the fundamentals of industrial equipment operation troubleshooting and safety tailored to BHS Corrugators machinery as well as broader manufacturing best practices.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during training sessions and site visits.
• Frequent bending twisting and reaching motions required during training or equipment demonstrations.
• Safely lift and maneuver objects weighing up to 30 pounds as part of training or job demonstrations.
• Ability to ascend and descend ladders and stairs to access and inspect equipment.
• Comfort navigating uneven surfaces and walking over equipment in customer or training locations.
• Work effectively in varying environmental conditions including exposure to hot and cold temperatures.
• Perform duties in both indoor and outdoor settings as required by the role.
• Capable of extensive travel across North America and occasional travel to Europe which may include carrying luggage and navigating airports.
• Sufficient visual acuity to review technical manuals training materials and reports.
• Dexterity to operate a computer training equipment and tools as necessary.

Salary & Benefits:

The salary range offered for this position is $85k $115k per year plus a yearly performance based bonus.
