At Houston Methodist the Research Coordinator position is responsible for coordinating the daytoday activities of research protocols as well as assessing and determining qualification of patients for research studies. This position ensures accurate data collection documentation organization and safety of research participants. The successful candidate will participate in a multisite National Institute of Health (NIH))sponsored research study evaluating cognitive changes in the Hispanic population in Houston. The study will include blood and imaging biomarkers. The coordinator will interact with local patient support and advocacy groups and participate in local outreach activities. The Nantz National Center research activities are integrated with clinical care and all study procedures are conducted within the Houston Methodist Medical Center. Based on experience participating in industrysponsored clinical trials might be an option. Our team includes more than half a dozen research specialists/coordinators five research nurses and four principal investigators with federal state foundation and clinical trial research support.
Additional Information: Ideal applicants will be Bilingual in Spanish.

Houston Methodist Research Institute was formed in 2004 to rapidly and efficiently translate discoveries made in the laboratory and the clinic into new diagnostics therapies and treatments. The research institute was created to provide the infrastructure and support for these endeavors and to house the technology and resources needed to make innovative breakthroughs in important areas of human disease. A 540000 square foot building dedicated to research the research institute houses over 1500 staff and trainees 284 principal investigators and has more than 570 ongoing clinical trials.
