As an employeeowner hired for an internship you will be given the title of Project Intern and your duties could consist of:
Project Interns can expect a preliminary meeting with their supervisor to discuss the goals expectations and desired outcomes of the internship. Employeeowners participating in an internship will be reviewed upon the completion of their internship. This review should be used as a tool to communicate the successes and learning outcomes of the internship. The supervisor will also complete any necessary paperwork that must be provided to the Project Interns school or university.
Individuals hired as interns will be classified as Temporary employeeowners as defined in Policy A5. Temporary employeeowners are not eligible for vacation pay holiday pay or any of the other benefits listed in Policy A5.
Temporary employeeowners are expected to adhere to the same policies and procedures as regular fulltime employeeowners. These policies and procedures can be found on the AustinNet under People Services Austin Commercial.
Employeeowners that are performing an internship are expected to work a regularlyscheduled workweek of 40 hours or more (overtime will be paid for any hours in excess of 40 at a rate one and onehalf times the employeeowners regular rate).
