Job Summary:
The Department of Pathology at SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University is seeking a fulltime Surgical Pathologist / Clinical Assistant Professor (HS).
In addition to directing the autopsy service responsibilities include:
- Surgical pathology signout frozen section mentoring and teaching of medical students and pathology residents and participation in other areas of the laboratories.
- The position includes leadership of the pathology
education for second year medical students. - Participation in research with presentation of work at national meetings and publication in peer reviewed journals is expected.
Required Qualifications:
- MD or DO Degree.
- Board Certification or eligibility in Anatomic Pathology or Anatomic and Clinical Pathology.
- Eligibility for New York State Medical Licensure.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Fellowship training in oncologic surgical pathology forensic pathology transplant renal or gastrointestinal pathology.

Variable Days; Variable Hours(FullTime)
