Provides leadership and supervision of youth in the completion of assigned tasks and activities.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES & DUTIES:
Provides safe and effective services
Adheres to policies related to safety and boundaries with service recipients.
Attends safety and abuse risk management training as assigned.
Adheres to procedures related to managing highrisk activities and supervising service recipients.
Reports suspicious or inappropriate behaviors and policy violations.
Follows mandated abuse reporting requirements.
Provides leadership and supervision of youth
Trains and supervises youth in a variety of activities including workrelated recreational and academic that develop life skills.
Ensures youth safety by encouraging proper use of tools and appropriate peer relations; reports selfharm concerns.
Assesses expectations of site and conducts appropriate training for youth.
Evaluates and reports youth progress; meets and communicates with appropriate personnel regarding youth progress.
Attends training to improve knowledge and implement the Youth Care Program.
Performs activities as assigned in both indoor and outdoor settings.
KNOWLEDGE SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
Ability to communicate in an articulate professional manner while maintaining necessary degree of confidentiality.
Ability to build and sustain trust to facilitate successful professional relationships.
Ability to quickly make decisions in sensitive and sometimes critical areas and to adapt responses to situations while maintaining procedural and regulatory integrity.
Knowledge of Boys Town Model.
Ability to successfully lead youth in the completion of tasks and redirect inappropriate youth behaviors.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
High School diploma or equivalent is required.
Minimum 21 years of age required.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Previous experience with youth care preferred.

Must have sufficient ability to see hear speak and mobility (including standing and walking continuously for extended periods of time) to monitor youth assist and perform daily household chores complete work assignments and participate in activities with youth.Subject to outside environmental conditions (including wind rain extreme heat drastic temperature changes) frequently and inside conditions occasionally. Includes constant interruptions inappropriate behaviors and the potential for verbal and physical threats from youth.
