We currently have an opening for aContract Licensed Massage Therapistto join our team at our outpatient physical therapyclinic inMill Creek WA. The Massage Therapist will perform evaluations of assigned patients and apply a range of appropriate therapeutic massage treatments. This position is a Contractor Licensed Massage Therapist position. We understand the importance of work/life balance. You can pick your own hours and schedule that works for you!

Position Summary:

  • Evaluate clients soft tissue condition joint quality and function muscle strength and range of motion
  • Develop and propose client treatment plans that specify which types of massage are to be used
  • Discuss with physical therapists to develop treatment plans for clients
  • Massage and knead the muscles and soft tissues of the human body in order to provide treatment for medical conditions injuries or wellness maintenance
  • Maintain detailed and accurate treatment records of clients
  • Operates therapeutic devices to include devices for the application of electrotherapy ultrasound heat cold iontophoresis biofeedback and compression
  • Assists in the cleanliness of the location (therapy rooms and common areas)
  • Document treatments accurately through EMR system

Physical Requirements:

  • Mobility: Ability to move around freely to assist patients and therapists.
  • Lifting: Capable of lifting and carrying equipment or assisting patients as needed (up to 50 pounds).
  • Standing: Extended periods of standing and walking during therapy sessions.
  • Manual Dexterity: Proficiency in handling therapy tools and equipment.
  • Visual and Auditory Skills: Ability to observe patients and communicate effectively.
  • Flexibility: Adaptability to changing tasks and schedules in a dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Working Conditions: This position involves working in a healthcare environment interacting with patients with varying medical conditions. The therapist may need to work flexible hours based on patient schedules and clinic needs.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED and successful completion of Therapeutic Massage school
  • 1 years of postlicensure experience directly related to the duties and responsibilities of Licensed Massage Therapist (LMT)
  • Experience in Medical Massage Therapy highly preferred
  • Current State licensure for Massage Therapist
