This position is a Full Time position.
SUMMARY: Collects medical records from various areas of the facility scans and identifies documents into Meditech performs assembly analysis enters deficiencies into Meditech for tracking and makes records available to physicians/providers for completion. Completes birth certificates and acknowledgement of paternity (when necessary) and assures reporting requirements to the States occurs. Follows the in process abstracts to add the required documentation for the Coders. Performs Release of Information. Manages the Clinic records in MPM.
EDUCATIONAL/EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:
High School Diploma or GED and some college preferred. Experience in an office setting preferred.
Working knowledge of computer systems.
Make independent decisions based on specialized knowledge.
Work effectively with others and as a team member.
Perform special projects and miscellaneous duties as needed and requested.
LICENSURE / CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
No License or Certification Required.
Must be computer literate. Strong systems background is desirable. Windows MS Office Meditech knowledge is preferred. Familiarity with personal computers scanners fax machine computerized voice mail system and common office machines is preferred.
Ability to communicate with Supervisor in order to prioritize workload and determine priorities.
Ability to apply great attention to detail and exceptional organizational skills.
Ability to apply strong problem solving skills to identify unique situations that would require the attention of management.
