Part Time - Nursing Simulation ConciergeFacilitator

Nevada State University invites applications for the position of LOA Hourly Nursing Simulation Concierge/Facilitator. The Nursing Simulation Concierge/Facilitator will facilitate quality highfidelity mixed modality and standardized participant learning experiences for undergraduate nursing students in the simulation lab setting. This is not a teaching position.

The Nursing Simulation Concierge/Facilitator is responsible for facilitating high fidelity mixed modality and standardized patient/participant simulation encounters in the Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) program. The position will serve in the role of Concierge for simulation to facilitate scenario progressions in collaboration with a simulation operationalist and content expert (i.e. clinical instructor). The position will collaborate with simulation staff faculty and students during simulation scenarios and will guide debrief sessions following each scenario progression while upholding standards of best practice per INACSL and SSH. The position will be expected to attend ongoing education and training offered by the simulation center to main proficiency in the centers simulation model.

Students currently enrolled in the nursing program at Nevada State or students enrolled in prerequisite courses and planning to apply for the nursing program at Nevada State are ineligible for the position.

Core Responsibilities:

• Facilitation of highfidelity (manikinbased) mixed modality and standardized participant simulation encounters in the Baccalaureate of Science in Nursing (BSN) program.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelors in nursing or a related field and 2 years work experience in the field of nursing/healthcare/simulation.
• American Heart Association BLS certification.
• Evidence of clinical excellence.
• Evidence of interest in mentoring and working with undergraduate nursing students.
• Team player who collaborates with faculty staff and students.
• Familiar with willing and able to use computer technology.
• Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship (Nevada State does not sponsor employmentrelated visas).

Preferred Qualifications:

• Masters degree in nursing or a related field.
• CHSE or CHSOS certification in simulation education (SSH).
• Experience in facilitating and debriefing highfidelity simulations.
• Demonstrate commitment to simulation to support student learning.
• Incorporation of diversity into simulation teaching.
• Active in professional organizations related to nursing education and simulation.

Hourly Rate:

$48.05 per hour.

Hours Worked:

510 hours per day up to 20 hours per week. Weekdays evenings and weekends vary as needed.
