We are excited to offer an opening for a Director Engineering in our Mumbai Office (Jogeshwari West). WD offers a hybrid working model in India 2 days in the office 3 days working from home. Our work hours are Monday Friday 10AM 7PM. No weekend work hours.
The Director Engineering is a new role based in our Mumbai office and a key member of our global operations at WD! You will be leading strong existing Engineering teams by driving WDs strategic vision and ensuring our India teams are learning and delivering the highest standards of technical excellence. This role will work closely with the Director Architecture (India) and within our global operations by managing the performance of the engineering disciplines in India and aligning its objectives with WDs mission values and business goals.
Some of the ways youll achieve success:
- Overseeing of engineering work to ensure the highest quality standards adherence to deadlines and compliance with all relevant regulations and codes
- Effectively directing the engineering teams operational processes workflows and systems to ensure successful project delivery
- Facilitating seamless integration and of projects in collaboration with the Director Architecture (India) and US teams
- Meeting key operational and budgetary metrics
- Providing daily strategic leadership over the engineering discipline in India fostering a collaborative and highperformance culture
- Creating opportunities for daily mentoring by being accessible to team members to support advancement of their knowledge and career growth
Necessary Experience:
- Degree in a relevant field of Engineering or qualifying relevant professional experience
- Professional Engineering licensure is preferred
- Advanced experience in engineering or building systems design with the ability to provide technical training and direction to managers and Architects as well as midlevel and junior Associates
- Advanced experience in management and leadership
- Experience working on engineering projects for retail bigbox restaurant grocery or other relevant industry verticals
- Extensive experience working within the US or working with USbased companies
- Prior experience managing and supporting offshore or international corporations is preferred
