As the Texas Safety Manager you will spearhead our HSE initiatives in the Texas region playing a pivotal role in promoting a safe healthy and productive work environment. This position requires a dynamic leader capable of fostering a culture of safety excellence across all levels of operations.
Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of HSE guidelines policies and procedures that align with company objectives.
- Engage with Business Line Management to tackle challenges and fulfill customer mandates ensuring robust support for HSE initiatives.
- Stay ahead of pending legislation and regulatory mandates crafting compliance strategies and effectively communicating these throughout the organization.
- Collaborate with Line and Project Management on regulatory compliance incident reporting and case management.
- Spearhead safety training programs ensuring relevance compliance and effectiveness.
- Drive safety culture through behavioral change influence and engagement ensuring safety becomes a core aspect of our operational DNA.
- Monitor and ensure compliance with DOT OSHA and MSHA regulations leveraging audits training and expert consultations.
- Maintain a visible and proactive role in the project safety process acting as a key point for safety process communication and enhancements.
- Foster relationships with external professionals and organizations to stay abreast of best practices and regulatory compliance.
What Were Looking For
- 57 years of leadership experience in HSE roles with at least 3 years in management.
- A Bachelors degree in health and safety from an accredited college/university or commensurate experience with proven results.
- Preferred qualifications include ASP or CSP certification Smith System Train the Trainer.
- 35 years of experience with DOT/FMCSA training driver qualification files and Clearinghouse.
- OSHA and MSHA Certifications preferred (e.g. OSHA 500/510 MSHA Part 46 Certified MSHA instructor).
- 35 years of experience in oil & gas or energy sector is highly desirable.
