About the Role:
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Planner to join our team. This role is pivotal in managing projects exceeding $50MM annually with a multiyear duration and extreme complexity. The ideal candidate will be an expert in project planning and scheduling utilizing Primavera P6 software and will possess a specialized depth and breadth of expertise.
Key Responsibilities:
- Project Management:Lead and manage complex projects with budgets over $50MM ensuring successful delivery within scope time and budget constraints.
- Primavera P6 Expertise:Utilize advanced skills in Primavera P6 for project planning and scheduling ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Problem Solving:Interpret internal and external business issues recommend best practices and solve complex problems with innovative solutions.
- Leadership and Direction:Provide clear direction and support to Project personnel demonstrating strong leadership and facilitation skills.
- Decision Making:Make sound judgments considering project impact and effects with decisions reviewed for accuracy and feasibility.
Qualifications:
- Postsecondary education in Engineering P.Eng (or equivalent).
- 710 years of working experience including 2 years in relevant construction or project experience.
- Proven high performer based on prior performance reviews.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) preferred.
Competencies:
- Recognized as a Project Controls expert within the Major Projects department.
- Ability to troubleshoot specific controls issues related to scheduling and implement applicable changes.
Supervision and Leadership:
- Work is assigned in terms of objectives relative priorities and critical areas impacting other units.
- Work is carried out within broad guidelines with informed guidance available.
- Assign and outline work advise on problems and review work for technical accuracy and adequacy.
