Job Description
CLINICAL SCIENTIST SPECIALIZING IN DIVERSITY . The Department of Psychology at the University of Utah invites applications for a tenuretrack Assistant Professor faculty position in our Clinical Science program. We are seeking applicants who have research and teaching interests focused on diversity a strong research record and highquality clinical training from a clinical science perspective. Postdoctoral training licenseeligibility and expertise in quantitative methods are highly valued. A member of the Academy of Psychological Clinical Science and continuously accredited by APA since 1954 our Clinical Science program has a history of generative collaborations within our areas of specialization (clinical neuropsychology clinical child and family clinical health psychology and general psychopathology); as well as with the Psychology Departments other graduate training programs (Cognition and Neural Sciences Developmental Social and Quantitative); additional departments and colleges across campus (e.g. Educational Psychology Ethnic Studies Family and Consumer Studies Gender Studies Psychiatry Social Work Sociology); and transformational centers of excellence such as the Consortium for Families and Health Research (C FAHR . Applications from individuals whose research interests lend themselves to such collaborations are particularly encouraged as are applications from individuals with demonstrated excellence in undergraduate teaching and mentorship. The University of Utah also is home to the National Center for Veterans Studies Health Sciences Center Neuropsychiatric Institute and Research Park as well as being adjacent to Primary Childrens Hospital and the Veterans Administration Hospital where substantial opportunities are available for collaborative research and training involving clinical populations. The University of Utah is a PAC 12 institution located in Salt Lake City nestled in the foothills of the Wasatch Mountains. With an enrollment of 31000 students University of Utah is the flagship research university for the State of Utah and ranks 15th in the nation for significant awards to faculty for research efforts.
