Job Summary
The Benefits Specialist is the initial point of contact for all individuals seeking voluntary services through Community Bridges Community Psychiatric Center during the Outpatient Service Center (OSC) hours of operation. The Benefits Specialist is responsible for answering all phone calls routed through the facility and connects callers to the appropriate staff or facility based. The Benefits Specialist is responsible for obtaining insurance and copay information for service where necessary and maintaining contact with respective referral sources. The benefit specialist is responsible for completing the referral in the electronic health records. The Benefits Specialist is responsible for collecting copay.
Experience Required
- Associate Degreerequired.Bachelors Degreepreferred.
- 1 3 years ofexperience withinsurance verification and/or front desk experience in a medical officesettingis preferred but not required ofthis position.
- Or equivalent combination of education and experience.
