Job Description
Provides and/or coordinates the delivery of a variety of patient services under the direction of the registered nurse or physician. Patient services are both clinical and nonclinical in nature and include direct patient care activities such as taking vital signs performing phlebotomy and business functions such as data entry filing assessing charges. Interacts with patients physicians and hospital personnel. Must possess strong interpersonal and communication skills. Will assist with minor procedures that are office based.
High school graduate or equivalent. Graduate of a Medical Assistant training program nursing student or Paramedic. A minimum of oneyear experience in a Medical Assistant position is preferred. Demonstrated ability to:Communicate efectively. Problem solve Get along with others Confront issues appropriately. Must be able to speak and understand oral and written communication in English. CPR training required
