Job Summary
We are seeking a Lead Bridge Engineer to join TYLins Bridge Sector in Rockaway NJ. In this role you will have the opportunity to participate in a broad portfolio of exciting projects regionally nationally and internationally. The primary scope of this role is to develop bridge and structure designs for local agencies and designbuild clients deliver projects on time on budget and with high quality. It requires strong project management skills as well as the ability to lead and mentor junior staff.Responsibilities & Qualifications
What Youll Do:
Perform design and analysis of complex concrete and steel bridge structures. Experience with long span bridges is an asset.
Advanced structural engineering and analysis capabilities including ability to perform seismic analysis.
Design of concrete and steel bridge structures.
Develop designs contract plans and specifications.
Coordinate with and direct CAD production activities for drawing production.
Conduct quality control activities for independent review and checking of structural designs.
Interface with civil engineers for development of complete project plans and specifications.
Develop engineering studies reports and documentation.
Oversee and review calculations and designs performed by engineers.
Other assignments as needed.
What Youll Need:
Professional Engineering License (PE) in New Jersey New York or Pennsylvania.
Bachelors degree in civil / structural engineering required. Masters degree preferred.
Must have at least 15 years of structural design experience in bridges and related structures. Project management experience is also required.
Ability to perform advanced structural analysis and designs. Experience in CSI Bridge is a plus.
Familiarity with AASHTO NJDOT PennDOT and NJTA design and standards preferred.
Proficient in leading technical aspects of bridge projects writing reports preparing drawings specifications and engineering calculations.
