Development Coordinator
The Massachusetts General Hospital Development Office seeks a dynamic organized and detailoriented professional to provide administrative support to two senior directors and a director of development.
The Coordinator provides administrative support to members of the team raising funds for biomedical research and to the Senior Director of Information Management and Integrated Marketing and Communications. The Coordinator is responsible for managing the calendars of the individuals s/he supports drafting correspondence and briefings tracking major gift prospects using Raisers Edge and preparing and distributing reports and mailing lists. Additionally s/he assists with arranging travel processing business expenses and preparing for appointments meetings events and presentations.
The successful candidate will be a selfmotivated organized team player with a strong work ethic and capable of juggling multiple priorities. Also s/he will possess the ability to motivate engage and work collaboratively with a variety of constituencies such as agencies volunteers event participants donors and colleagues.

Major Duties
Manages the calendar of the assigned individuals keeping them free of scheduling conflicts. Schedules and coordinates logistics of internal and external meetings appointments and presentations (agendas minutes PowerPoint etc. with minimal guidance.
Assists in preparing for appointments meetings and presentations proactively prompting supported individuals regarding preparations of related materials (agendas minutes PowerPoint etc..
Records and gathers information and action items accurately in Raisers Edge constituent records and adds detailed information to records with minimal guidance.
Reviews correspondence and other written materials upon request and interprets information necessary to draft responses as needed.
Makes travel arrangements according to requested specifications and prepares accurate and thorough travel itineraries; helps coordinate other aspects of business travel; and troubleshoots and resolves potential logistical or policy conflicts with minimal guidance.
Submits accurate and timely employee expenses and vendor payments using the appropriate procedure with minimal guidance.
Works closely with the team to track and inform about pending reports engagements and other stewardship actions scheduled for donors and prospects.
Consistently completes accurate booking forms and other related forms for gifts and pledges in a timely manner with minimal feedback providing thorough information and gift backup for the preparation of acknowledgement letters.

Qualifications
A minimum of one to two years of related work experience required experience working in a development office strongly preferred. High School diploma or GED equivalency required: BA/BS degree preferred. Also the ideal candidate will possess the following skills abilities and competencies:
Ability to prioritize tasks handle multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
Ability to fulfill job responsibilities with minimal guidance or coaching from manager or team members.
Ability to effectively troubleshoot and resolve issues while taking the appropriate steps involving appropriate parties when necessary.
Ability to evaluate problems accurately and display good sound and confidential judgment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and the internet.
