You will be updated with latest job alerts via emailThe primary purpose of the Special Procedures Technician is to provide ophthalmic imaging services
to the Ophthalmology Services to include the UH outpatient clinical service inpatient locations Clinical Research programs and
designated screening and telemedicine programs. Demonstrates and captures through a variety of imaging techniques ocular and orbital
anatomy for interpretation at the request of a licensed practitioner. Shares in the work of maintaining a comprehensive Ophthalmic
Imaging Division whose scope includes film photography digital imaging ultrasonography electrophysiology laser imaging and
telemedicine. Supports the research and academic mission of the Department through both clinical and graphical imaging
Minimum of four 4 years of experience in Ophthalmology which should include some of the following: ophthalmic
echography (immersion Ascan IOL Master Lenstar bscan); optical coherence tomography (OT OCTA HRT) of the anterior segment
retina and optic nerve; corneal topography; automated visual field testing; fundus anterior segment and external photography. Must
possess familiarity with ophthalmic disease presentations and diagnostic modalities sufficient to understand the physicians orders and
capture the requested pathology. The preferred candidate will possess either JCAHPO Diagnostic Ophthalmic Sonographer (CDOS) or
ROUB (Registered Biometrist) certifications. Must possess current CPR certification
