Position Overview: Supply Chain Management Internship Full Time (Summer 2025
The Supply Chain Internship at Sparton LLC. An Elbit System of America Company offers students the opportunity to gain handson supply chain experience with a world leader in complex maritime electronic systems.

Learning Outcomes: This role is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of supply chain management. Interns will work closely with experienced business professionals supporting various supply chain functions including planning sourcing/procurement and warehousing while gaining insight into daytoday operations of a leading defense contractor in a highstakes environment. The selected candidate will gain experience in coordinating orders for material to achieve program deliverables developing sourcing and procurement processes and tools and providing material flow from receipt to lineside delivery while maintaining inventory accuracy.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Support experienced business professionals in performance of assignments and shadow actual operations.
- Assist in the coordination of orders for material in conjunction with Procurement at levels that achieve the appropriate days onhand inventory and being cognizant of inventory valuation and storage space utilization.
- Assist in conducting bidders conferences analyze and evaluate supplier proposals negotiate subcontract provisions and create procurement documents.
- Ensure compliance with Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and internal Sparton policies.
- Coordinate with engineering quality and finance to mitigate supplier performance risk and resolve issues.
- Assist in the material receipt through lineside delivery process by gaining experience in Receiving processes Putaway move order and delivery and cycle counting for accuracy.
Secondary Responsibilities:
- Assist with expired material search Production Control ordering and AFB cycle counting.
- Recommend and develop improved processes and procedures.
- Assist in inventory discrepancy investigations to determine root cause and correction.
Requirements:
Sparton interns must meet the following criteria:

- Active pursuit of a Bachelor or Graduate degree at an Accredited Institution and be able to provide documentation to confirm your degree progress.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Current class standing of sophomore or above 30 credits)
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must be able to work onsite in De Leon Springs FL
Travel Requirement: Less than 10

A portion of this internship will be conducted in a manufacturing and warehouse environment. Adherence to applicable safety requirements is required at all times.

This job operates in a professional office environment and a manufacturing environment. The employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions in the plant. The noise level in the work environment may be loud.
