Job Description
To teach and instruct the Upward Bound Classic participants during the Academic Component for a better understanding of various subject matter. Responsibilities: To provide academic instruction in various areas of high school Science. Instructor should develop a syllabus and instructional objectives which promote student creativity role play and handson instruction where appropriate. Develop and administer preposttest during the first classroom session and last class session. The instructor must communicate with the Program Coordinator on class activities needed material/supplies disciplinary issues and other concerns. Period times will be scheduled virtually/inperson during the week and on various Saturdays at a determined time of the planned class or event which may vary. Other duties as deemed necessary from the Director and Assistant Director. Physical Demands
The instructor is regularly required to sit and use hands to handle or feel. Employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
Required Qualifications
College graduate with at least three years of experience and preferably certified in subject area; and experience in teaching potential first generation college students.
