Account Supervisor

The Account Supervisor (AS) is the daytoday brand and client champion demonstrating strong ownership of the brand keeping the focus on executional success. An AS manages his/her business including the supervision of the account team and lateral supervision of creative partners. An AS may have subordinate(s) for whom he/she is responsible.

What we expect from you

Project Development

Masters tactical planning and implementation including daytoday management of timelines from start through release of eachtactic

Creation and ownership of tactical briefs and estimates with supervisor sign off

Ensures all creative and tactics developed support the brand and customer objectives

Continually seeks brand building opportunities/ways to overcome obstacles

Participates and organizes market research including partial ownership of associated output and strategic findings

Participates in development of a strategic communications plan with alignment between issues strategies and tactics

Leads creative and account teams in the development of breakthrough creative to ensure high quality agency output reflective of consistently superior creative product

Champions the creative product with creative partners

Provides appropriate supervision to his/her direct reports

Works with team to ensure all work is delivered on time and accurately

Client Relations

Maintains key client contact and ensures the client is kept apprised of the status of all jobs and ongoing progress

Attends client meetings/conventions/market research and handles timely followup

Ownership of daily and/or weekly client status reports

Creation and dissemination of client contact reports

Delivers recommendations for programs big ideas and incremental income and seeks opportunities to continually strengthen quality of client relations

Acts as liaison between client and internal team providing timely feedback between Agencyand Client

Financial

Oversees daily financial health of all client work (estimates jobs fees billing client vendor trackers and other items) within the guidelines of the clients budgets andAgency processes

Collaborates proactively with clients and internal team to manage per job financials against project briefs and timelines

Prepares forecasts with supervisor

Ensure per job revenue is recognized based on project assumptions and revenue forecasts

Ensures timeliness of client approvals receipt of PO transfers and writeoffs as appropriate per client and agency processes

Proactively identifies opportunities to realize incremental income based on scope changes

Team Building/Leadership

Works with supervisor on strategic options copy strategy and creative innovation

Provides clear direction and establishes expectations for subordinates and crossfunctional agency team

Delegates tasks to subordinates crossfunctional team members and/or superiors as appropriate whileensuring quality meets agency standards

Evaluates performance of account team members and makes developmental recommendations

Background/experience and skills

Bachelors degree

46 years in account services at a healthcare communications/advertising agency consulting firm or similar experience

Background in communications managed markets and/or science preferred

Computer programs : Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite of tools (Word Excel PowerPoint)
