A wellknown manufacturing company is looking to hire a Military Program Manager for their suburban Buffalo facility. This position serves as the primary point of contact for assigned customers for all noncommercial issues and is responsible for managing the full programs life cycle.
Duties & Responsibilities:
1 Before contract award:
Provide inputs to the organization to ensure the best sales strategy
Coordinate with sales engineering and operations organizations to ensure business case inputs are realistic and accurate
Maintain appropriate contact with the relevant customer program and technical organizations
Support the customer in the definition and selection of the optimal component or system
2 After contract award and until aircraft/product certification:
Lead assigned program activity within the organization
Create and maintain program scope document
Program level planning and resource management needed to meet customer milestones
Manage and control recurring and nonrecurring program costs and overall business case
Manage and mitigate program level risks
3 After certification:
Manage sustaining programs
Ensure a smooth entry into service for the customer and the organization
Maintain close contact to the customer to resolve/avoid upcoming issues
Serve as point of contact between the customer and the organization for any noncommercial questions
