Role Summary
The Curriculum Associate will work with the Curriculum and Training Manager on the overall research and development of the schools curriculum. They will provide assistance to School Leaders and Teachers in their effective implementation and implementing processes for constant improvement. Given that iTeach Schools is a young startup we are looking for people who will be eager to design and create the most effective systems and processes combining researched best practices with their own contextual innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum
Research the best possible approaches to integrating values and mindsets exposure and access 21stcentury skills projectbased learning and arts
Develop and monitor implementation strategies for the above
Implement and drive feedback loops to constantly refine the curriculums quality
Teacher and School Leader Support
Assist School Leaders and Lead Teachers with feedback on planning analysis of student data and course correction
Observe Teachers in their classrooms and provide strong instructional feedback
Assist the Counseling Team and define instructions for students with learning disabilities.
Assessments
Research Standardized Assessments and identify what can work best given our school vision and culture
Strengthen Formative Assessments across the board exit slips weekly tests and unit tests as a lever to improve instruction
Drive Institutional Learning / Knowledge Management Processes
Facilitate sharing and implementation of best teaching practices among Subject Teams of our schools
Document best practices and exceptional lessons and share them with other schools and organizations in the community
Experience and Competencies
Bachelors degree with exceptional performance as a teacher for 2 or more years
Experience with research and project designing and presenting demonstrable outcomes for these projects
Experience with various Pedagogical approaches and their appropriate use
Comfortable with using large data sets and able to glean applicable insights from the data
