Job Duties:

Geisinger a national leader in healthcare innovation and technology is seeking a BC/BE Pulmonary/Critical Care trained physician for an exciting opportunity at Geisinger Wyoming Valley in WilkesBarre Pennsylvania. There is a strong Sleep presence for those boarded in Sleep.

At a Glance:

  • Work 2 weeks of outpatient pulmonary clinic with procedures 1 week of inpatient pulmonary consult service and 1 week of ICU/month
  • Typical cases are COPD asthma pneumonia lung cancer pulmonary hypertension and interstitial lung disease
  • Be an instrumental part of teaching with our Pulmonary Critical Care fellowship hosting 4 students/year scholarly activities interdisciplinary programs committees and research

Position Details:

Geisinger Wyoming Valley Medical Center (GWV) located in WilkesBarre Pa. is an acute care hospital that is licensed for 274 beds and houses the only Level I trauma center in Luzerne County. The campus includes the Frank W. and Dorothea Henry Cancer Center The Richard and Marion Pearsall Heart Hospital the Janet Weis Childrens Hospital Pediatric Unit a transplant program and the Brain & Spine Tumor Institute. Geisinger South WilkesBarre is GWVs ambulatory campus.

Education:

Doctor of Medicine or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (Required)
