The LTC Ombudsman will work to promote and protect the rights dignity safety and quality of life of residents in long term care facilities. Assists in receiving investigating and resolving complaints in these facilities and advocating for the rights of the residents. Provides information about the ombudsman program to residents family members and the community at large. Maintain records and submits reports. The position of LTC Ombudsman reports to the VP of Advocacy Resources.

The environment for this position will be in Nursing and Assisted Living facilities clients homes and in an office setting. Travel required around service area occasionally neighboring areas covered by Bay Aging and to attend trainings some overnight stays are required. The incumbent:

EDUCATION:
Bachelors degree or minimum of 5 years experience in LTC field required.
FLSA status: This is a nonexempt position.
